Being on location in the TV business is always tricky. You never know what you'll encounter. Weather. Lighting. No set. Uninvited guests. Etc.

But there are fun advantages. You never know what you'll get! You're thinking on your feet most of the time. It's kind of like magic improv!

This particular shoot was inside a local mall. We were in the middle of the mall courtyard so there were people above and below. We couldn't use the usual lapel mics (they aren't wireless), so we had to use handheld. There was a constant level of noise because it was in the middle of March Break. And there was no overhead camera like to the studio.

But I knew all of this going in. Here is the result.
