This one is unique.

Not just the routine, which is one of my favourites, but also the spot it appeared in.

Daytime was always a ‘live to tape’ show. the 11:00 show was live to air and also taped for rebroadcast later that same day. The only shows that were pre-taped were the summer shows and the holiday shows. There was one exception that I know of though and that was for my wife’s funeral. Unbeknownst to me, the crew taped a show the day before just so they could attend the funeral the next day – which was at the same time as the live broadcast.

Anyway, back to THIS routine and show. In order to facilitate schedules, Daytime began pre-taping Tuesday’s and Thursdya’s broadcasts on Mondays and Wednesdays respectively. I was booked for the Tuesday, May 2, 2017 show and taped it Monday the 1st at 1:00. The next morning at 9:00 the show was cancelled nationwide. The May 2nd episode never had a chance to air. I was on one of the very first Daytime shows and I was on the last one too!
