Hello again. This one, or is it That one is a little bit of This & That, and it has a unique history.

It's based on an old routine called the 8 Card Brainwave. When I discovered it I thought it was a really good and easy to do trick that would fit perfectly into the magic I was doing at my restaurant gigs.

But it didn't. And I couldn't figure out why, and then it hit me. The original routine used regular playing cards and my audience thought that I might have been using trick cards (I wasn't).

So I took it out of the show. Then I saw the late, great Paul Daniel do a card trick called This and That. It was a completely different trick but the light bulb went off! I started using the cards you see in the video and the trick became 200% more entertaining and a part of my set again.
